Overtime request is created in two ways manually or automatically. First of all, an employer need to add attendance configurations which are already explained in How to add attendance request configurations?.
Manually: When in attendance configurations overtime approval required is allowed then employees need to create and approve overtime request. After that system will check step 3 and 4 in attendance configuration How to add attendance request configurations?. To know more about how to create an overtime request. Follow the following steps.
- In the navbar click the Attendance tab.
- The above step will open new tabs in the dropdown. Click the overtimes tab.
- The above step will open new tabs in the dropdown. Click the company overtimes tab.
- The above step will open the company overtimes index page.
- Click create button to create an overtime request.
- A pop-up will appear to create an overtime request.
- Fields with red sterics are necessary to fill.
- A select employee from the drop-down for which you want to create an overtime request.
- To add a date click the calendar icon present at the right side of a date field.
- Enter overtime start time.
- Enter overtime end time.
- Add a description why you want to create an overtime request.
- Finally, click the save button to create an overtime request.
- Overtime request will be created and look like.
Automatically: When in attendance configurations overtime approval required is not allowed then whenever working hours of a day are more than expected hours the system will create and approve overtime request automatically.
