The employer can edit payroll. Employers can edit the name, tax structure, tax applicable, payroll processing, applicable days, any pay item and can also add new pay item.
To know more about how to edit payroll. Follow the following steps.
- In the navbar click the payroll tab.
- The above step will open new tabs in the dropdown. Click the payrolls tab. The above bove step will othe pen the payrolls index page.
- Click the edit button present in the Actions column to edit payroll.
- The above step will take us to a new page to edit payroll.
- Edit payroll name.
- Select tax structure from the dropdown. The tax structure is already explained in How to create tax structures?.
- Click the tax applicable checkbox if you want to detect tax.
- Select payroll processing.
- Payroll processing at month-end means that system will process payroll at the end of the month.
- Payroll processing from date means that system will process payroll till that date of the month.
- The above figure shows that the system will process payroll from the 26th of the previous month till the 25th of this month.
- Select applicable days. Actual days means that system will process payroll for actual days (either they are 29/30/31) of the month.
- Fixed days means that system will process payroll for fixed days of that month.
- If you select fixed days then the system will show a new field. Enter several fixed days.
- The above figure shows that system will process payroll 20 days of the month.
- Edit payroll description.
- Click add button to add a new pay item.
- The above step will add a row to select the pay item. Employers can add any pay item here.
- Click on select pay item and select any pay item from the dropdown.
- Click the taxable check box if you want to deduct tax on this pay item.
- Click the arrear applicable check box if you want to calculate the arrear on this pay item.
- Click the final settlement check box if you want to calculate this pay item in the final settlement payslip of a person.
- Click the delete button if you want to delete this pay item.
- Employers can also edit existing pay items. Repair step 20-24.
- After adding the pay item. Click the save button present at top of payroll to save changes.
- Click the back button to move back to the index page.
